Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) STCW Office declares that starting on Monday, 01 August 2016, they shall comply with President Duterte's order for the 3 days standard processing time.
Assuming, this includes the processing of the Certificate of Competence (COC), Certificate of Proficiency (COP) for ratings, COP for assesment of competence in various trainings and Certificate of Passing in theoretical and practical examinations.
Just few months ago, MARINA started to have 24 hour processing for Certification Services in STCW Office.
This is good news for all seafarers especially those who are living outside manila. 'Time is gold' in our profession because we have limited time during vacation. We want to spend our vacations with our families not on complying requirements.
We hope this would be a good beginning in redefining the MARINA under the new Administrator Marcial "Al" Amaro.
We believe that the new admin can tackle our every problem one step at a time.
With the new admin of MARINA Al Amaro, Do you think that Change is really Coming?
